How to apply for paid fellowships

Five participants are going to be selected by our mentors for paid fellowships. All students may apply to any fellowship listed on our website, regardless of which mentor they are paired up with.

The programme covers travel and accommodation costs of participants of up to EUR 2,000 per person.

The maximum number of places a participant can apply to: 3

How to apply: send your motivation letter(s) to forum@forumanepmuveszetert.hu including the order of your choices (which place is your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice). You can include all of the motivation letters to each fellowship in one email.

Application deadline: 12th November

Announcements of results for fellowships: 19th November

Tampere edition of World Pitch closes

The first two days of our programme has closed, with lots of lively discussions, sharing professional insight and pairing mentors and participants. Thanks to our great team of trainees and trainers, Ben Mandelson, Chris Eckman, Gergely Salamon, Christine Semba and Jerome Williams, and last but not least our select crew of participants.

Gergely Salamon – Consultant, strategic designer

Gergely Salamon studied American Culture, Economics and Communication. After living in California and Berlin, he moved back to his hometown, Budapest, where he was taking care of international communications of Sziget Festival management’s  portfolio between 2005 and 2011. In the meantime, he was involved -working as producer and campaign advisor -in a number of fashion- and music projects. Ever since he is active as a business consultant and creative on different campaigns related to music or popular culture. He worked for brands such as Coca-Cola, Burn Energy, Orange and a number of ad agencies. In recent years, he is focusing on strategic planing and service design, but music still plays a central role in his career. He is one of the founders of cross regional sync platform, Eastaste Music Licensing and the regions new music biz event, the Budapest Showcase Hub.

Ben Mandelson

Ben Mandelson – world musician, manager and producer

Ben Mandelson founding director of  WOMEX. As the consultant/director of London-based GlobeStyle Records (a label on Ace Records, established in 1985), he has opened new frontiers for globe-spanning music. He has worked on at least 99 albums for GlobeStyle. He has also produced works for numerous international artists. He has been an advisor for the Modal conference. He is also on the jury for the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music, and was part of their 2005 awards-related roundtable on world music. In addition, he is part of the British Council’s Music Advisory Network.
